• nexium, why would this be prescribed for post nasal drip & unrelated to acid reflux? is there a connection?

    Other than doctors being obvious and unrepentant pimps for the pharmaceutical industry in general. The MD prescribed this only after a negative allergy test where no additional symptoms were found (other than the post nasal drip) and upon confirming I had a drug plan (which indicated the pills would be expensive). There was a question about getting heartburn (acid reflux) which yielded the answers; “yes, mild discomfort and maybe 5-6 times a year”.
