Any ideas for a healthy substitute for Nexium to treat acid reflux?
Posted on October 16th, 2009 6 commentsI was diagnosed with Acid Reflux a few years ago and put on Nexium. At times it does not seem to be doing what I should, and the BIGGEST problem I have is that there is a tremendous amount of gas. Any ideas on a good (healthy) substitute? -

Can Acid Reflux Disease come back?
Posted on September 25th, 2009 5 commentsWhen I was about 11, I was diagnosed with Acid Reflux and a Hiatul Hernia. That was some time ago. It calmed down, so I took myself off Nexium, put myself onto some Prilosec OTC, and eventually took myself off of the OTC meds.
This week, I’ve began to feel the same symptoms as I did when I was 11. Does Acid Reflux come back? Does it heal itself? Should I make an appointment with my gastroenterologist?

I need practical advise to treat acid reflux?

I’ve read of thousands of people having this same problem and we’ve tried a lot of different things that don’t seem to help. Prescriptions like Nexium, or Previcid, or otc drugs like Pepcid, or Tagament don’t even touch it! Can someone help??? -
If acid reflux may be caused by too little stomach acid, how come acid suppressors like Nexium work?
Posted on September 17th, 2009 2 commentsIt’s been said that Apple Cider Vinegar can help with acid reflux because the stomach is actually producing too little acid. If this is the case, how come Nexium and other similar acid suppressants work? Wouldn’t they make the situation worse? Also, can lemon juice be used in place of ACV? I cannot tolerate the stuff! Any idea?

I’m taking Nexium for my acid reflux problem. ?
Posted on August 29th, 2009 5 commentsMy doctor just put me on Nexium for my acid reflux problem. I’m a little worried about the side effects just because there are so many and they seem really bad. I’m 17 now, and I don’t know if that makes a difference. Anyway, I’m just wondering if Nexium is a good idea for my problem at my age or if I should try natural remedies? -

Are there any foods that soothe acid reflux?
Posted on August 4th, 2009 5 commentsI am avoiding all the stuff I am supposed to avoid, and I am taking Nexium, but it hasn’t kicked in yet. My throat is burning, and I am wondering if I can eat/drink anything that will make it feel better. Water doesn’t help much and neither do Tums. I can’t have juice, pop, or milk. What about an herbal tea?
